Defining your Mission in a single sentence

A personal mission statement acts as both a harness and a sword—harnessing you to what is true about your life, and cutting away all that is false.

Whether we are the migrant worker turning in our last basket of freshly picked fruit, or the CEO who knows that he is only as good as his most recent quarterly report, each of us must constantly face two questions: Where now, and what next?

Do you desire to discover your mission?  Do you think about or daydream about doing something different than your current job or vocation?  Are you constantly looking for something to really sink your teeth into that gives you joy and serves common good?

The Path: Creating Your Mission is a framework.  A step by step recipe for getting from where you are to where you want to be.  It is designed to provide you with exercises, questions, and time for processing your past, your current situation and what you want more or less of in your life, job or relationships.

Having a clearly defined vision over the next 12 months, three years or five years will serve you to keep your mind and heart focused on the larger picture for how you want to bring your best and highest good to the world. A mission doesn't always have to be a lofty one about changing the world, it is simply a way to show up each day knowing you are doing what you do best!

Your Why .....  (Module 1).  This module focuses on your personal identity and how that plays a role in personal mission..  Understanding your hard-wiring, likes, dislikes, strengths, challenges and motivations will provide a filter for what shows up in your personal mission.

Your Mission ....... (Module 2). This module will  provide you the framework for writing your mission statement.   A step by step process that is a proven missional tool.  People with clearly defined missions have always led those who haven’t any. You are either living your mission, or you are living someone else’s.

Your Vision ...... (Module 3).  This module will guide you through the visioning process and provide you with clearing exercises to get you ready for writing  your vision statement.  You will start with module 1 and work your way through to module 3 at your own pace.  The process requires time for reflection, asking questions, and creating a space for you to place your personal mission into your life and routine.  By joining the Path Community Forum you can engage with others on their Path and find a place to share and refine your personal vision and purpose.
